NEW CHANGES IN BOXING RULES
The International Boxing Federation has announced that some innovations have been introduced to the rules of Olympic boxing. Some of these changes will create many comments as they concern rules that have been created for year without any changes. One of this is the elimination of the 48kgs weight category, which has more than 40 years that has been recognized. This rule was changed as the result of female boxing accept in the Olympics, which will reduced the numbers of male boxers in order to allow women, who entered with three categories and 36 women to the Olympic Games in London 2012.
Another important change is the admission of the seeding in the draws of the championships organized by AIBA and it will be immediately applied in the World Championship in Milan. According to this new regulation and based on the Aiba World Ranking, the first four places in each category will be seeded during the draw and four others, will be chosen from among the other participants and will be seeded too.
Will be eliminated, and improve in Milan World Championship, the public annotation of the development of competition. The previous system will be used, the results will be published at the end of the competition.
