2009 Women's Continental Championship of America


Already at the gates is the 2009 Women's Continental Championship of
America, first women boxing event held in the Americas after including
women in the Olympic Games. It was explained that a wide working program
is being elaborated towards the development of women Boxing in America.

2009 Women´s Continental Championship will take place in Guayaquil,
Ecuador, from October 3rd to October 9th, 2009. The event's Organizing
Committee announces that everything is ready to receive delegations
participating in the most important Americas Championship of Women
Boxing.

Countries that formalized their entry on this event and will participate
in it are: United States of America, Barbados, Canada, Argentina,
Brazil, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Peru,
Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico and Ecuador. It
is important to remark the record of participating countries registered
in an American Women Boxing event.
