Venezuelan Boxers advanced without problems in 2009 Bolivarian Games


Sucre, Bolivia- Venezuelan boxers Alfonso Blanco, Héctor Manzanilla and Edward Bermudez advanced easily into next stage in 2009 Bolivarian Games in the city of Sucre, Bolivia.

In the 48 kg category, Edward Bermudez (Ven) defeated 10-9 Carlos Quipos (Ecu), one of the most difficult bouts of the night in the ring of the University Coliseum.

Alfonso Blanco (Ven) 75 kg, quickly defeated Israel Duiffis, the referee had to stop the bout and give victory to the Venezuelan boxer.

Hector Manzanilla, 57 kg, comfortably defeated the Bolivian Hans Barrero 20-7

Julio Castillo (Ecu) 91kg. defeated Walfredo Rivero (Ven) 5-4, one of the favorites to win the gold medal in this category.
