35 technicians from 21 countries participated in 2009 R/J Updating Continental Seminar in Dominican Republic.




With the participation of 21 countries, and 35 technicians, 2009 Referees and Judges Updating Continental Seminar was celebrated in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
This Continental Seminar took place on November 21, 2009, and was conduced
by Mr. Ray Silvas, Chairman of the R/J Commission of AMBC and vice president of R/J Commission of Aiba.
Mr. Silva discussed several topics such as, The Functions of R/J Commissions, Important Aspects of Electronic Scoring and New Rules of International Boxing whose points have been previously disclosed at the World R/J Congress held in August - September during the World Championships in Milan.
Similarly, the Mexican Technician Oscar Contreras gave a demonstration in how to use the Swiss Timing Scoring machine.

Bahamas, Bermuda, Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curacao, Ecuador, United States, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Venezuela and Virgin Islands were among the countries that participated in this seminar, along with Dominica, Brazil, Saint Marteen, Colombia, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
