Roniel Iglesias and Paola Banavides selected as The Best Boxers of the Year 2009

As part of the Bureau Meeting of the Executive Committee of the American Boxing Confederation, in Panama City, Roniel Iglesias (CUB) and Paola Benavides (ARG) were selected as the 2009 Boxers of the year in the Americas.
"The Boxer of the Year" was one of the new items to discuss on the meeting of the Executive Bureau of the AMBC and agreed to reward these athletes for their great performance during 2009 in a ceremony on February 19th for the Continental Youth Championship in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
The award will include a monetary award in the amount of USD$1,500.00 for each athlete, air transportation and paid stay by the American Boxing Confederation, plus a trophy to encourage the work that these boxers have played over the last year.
