Countries confirm their participation in 2010 Youth Continental Championship.



About 10 countries with over 40 athletes have been reported to the Office of the AMBC in the Dominican Republic to participate in the 2010 Youth Continental Boxing Championship, that will be held from February, 21th to 25th .

So far, besides the Dominican representation, Argentina, Brazil, Bahamas, Cuba, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Saint Martin, Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago have confirmed their performance at the event to be held in the Gran Arena del Cibao in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

The arrival of these delegations to the Dominican Republic will be on February 19th to 20th and departure, the 26th of the same month, after five days of hard competition.

The participation of these countries will precede the World Youth Championship 2010 to be held in the Asian city of Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. This Championship is a qualifier for the first Youth Olympic Games, which will be held in Malaysia.

The Organizing Committee, and the Dominican Boxing Federation, are running an organized work plan for this continental event, for the proper development of one of the most important events in 2010 calendar of the American Boxing Confederation.
