America´s Youth Best Boxers starts Youth Continental Championship 2010


La Arena del Cibao holds the opening ceremony of the Youth Continental Championship 2010 with the participation of 14 federations and more than 70 athletes who compete for the gold medals in this event.

Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, Ecuador and Barbados, marched with the representatives of Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Netherlands Antilles, Bahamas and the Dominican Republic.

In the results, Dominican Light Fly Juan Gabriel Medina defeated by RSC Rene Santiago from Puerto Rico during the first day of competition, Medina Santiago forced the referee to stop the bout in the third round because of the opponent conditions.

Similarly, Cuban Yosvany Veitia Soto won easily 10-3 to his Mexican contender Joselito Vasquez. Meanwhile, Mycol Taylor, from Guatemala also defeated 10-3 the Ecuadorian boxer Edwin charcop.
