Cuba won four bouts of five matches in Youth World Championships
Irosvani Duverger awarded the fourth victory achieved by Cuba in the fourth day of the Youth World Championships held in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan.
Duverger has secured his place for the bronze after beating the Bulgarian Radoslav Pateleev by RSCI in the second Round. On Friday, Duverger will meet the Irish Bijan Khoja, who won 6-3 Ytalo Perea, Ecuador.
Yosvany Veita Soto, Robeisy Ramírez Carrazana y Arlen López Cardona, which also belong to the Cuban team, achieved victories yesterday, keeping Cuba in a high position of the youth boxing event.
Meanwhile, Robert Barrera and John Sanchez became the only Colombians wining two bouts in a row. Yesterday Barrera beat Alperen Akbulut by points 7-1 in 48 kilos. Sanchez defeated Mohamed Eldesouki by decision in 64 kilos.
The Americas also achieved the victories of the Dominican Juan Yonelvi Medina and Puerto Rican Emmanuel Rodriguez who faced respectively, Pakistan Ataullah, , in the 54 kg and Lassana Camara of the Republic of Mali, in the 51kg.
