Increases the participation of the Americas in the Quarter finals of the Youth World Championships
The cuban youth boxing team keep a good rhythm in the World Championship, held in Baku, Azerbaijan. On Thursday, they got six wins and one defeat in the preliminaries, while other boxers of our continent equally succeeded to increase their participation in the Quarterfinals.
Yovani Veitia, won 11-0 to Japanese Naoya Inoue. Similarly, Robeisis Ramirez neutralized the Iranian Payam Khakvangi 10-0 in the bantamweight.
Then, Norlan Yera beat 14-1 the Hungarian Antoine Habash and prepared the scene for the light-welterweight Arlen Lopez, who defeat 9-1 the Turkish Muhammet Aydin.
Lenier Eunice Perot, won by RSC in the second round to Domingo Mina from Ecuador. Meanwhile, heavyweight Yunier Saul Castro beat 2-0 Lithuania´s Niñita Maculevics.
In the same order, Fradimir Macayo from Venezuela showed his talent again along with his teammate Samuel Zapata who won the second round, to keep Venezuela with two athletes in the quarterfinals of the Youth World Championship.
Argentina, meanwhile, wins 64 kg, Maidana Fabian who beat his opponent in a fight Bulgarian pada quite tight into the quarter-finals.
Other notable victories were, the Puerto Rican Emmanuel Rodriguez in the 51 kg, the Dominican Juan Yonelvis Medina in 54 kg, along with the Brazilian David Laurencio Da Costa in 69 kg and the Colombian Palacio Carrillo in the 75 kilos.
