Panama and Nicaragua increase advantage in Central American BoxingChampionships, Costa Rica 2010.

The Panamanian boxers Gilberto Pedroza 48kg, Barnie Arguelles 57 kg, César Rivas 64 kg granted other victories to the Panamanian boxing team on the second day of competition of the championship.
Pedroza, representing Panama, beat Michel Tello in the 48 kg, 14-15. Meanwhile Arguelles, 57kg, won by points 16-3 to Guatemala´s Melvin Davila. In the 64 kg, Cesar Rivas won by a wide margin over Guatemala´s Jerson Gomez 15-6, giving advantage to Panama over other teams in the Central American Male and Female boxing Championships, 2010.

Moreover, seven Nicaraguan boxers will take part in the Male finals of the Central American Championship, thanks to the victories obtained on Thursday and Friday, outlining to take the on several categories.
José Kuantan, Marvin Solano, Alexander Espinoza, Ariel Sandino, Fabian Carvajal, Osmar Bravo and Oscar Lopez, Nicaraguan boxers, who will be searching for Gold to their country in the finals.

Costa Rica and El Salvador are behind the Panama and Nicaragua, which will have four boxers each one in the final bouts.

Women Finals. Yesterday the finals were disputed in the women categories, and Costa Rica had participation of all female boxers.

Angels Gonzalez, Kristel Ángulo, Nicole Perez, Carolina Arias, Pamela Sanchez, Ericka Zúñiga and Paola Cubillo, are the seven female boxers which took part in the finals of the contest.

The other contenders for the regional title were four boxers of Panama and three of El Salvador.

The Central American Boxing Championship takes place from Thursday 20, 2010 with the participation of 62 boxers.
