ECUADOR WILL HOLD ELITE CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010

The city of Quito, Ecuador, will hold the Elite Continental Championship 2010. The Ecuador Boxing Federation has announced that the event will be hosted from 15 to 19 June, 2010, and the delegations will arrive on June 13-14, 2010.

Because of the magnitude and quality of the contest, has been has announced the participation of the fallowing boxing teams: Argentina, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, besides the host (Ecuador).

At the Julio César Hidalgo Coliseum, where the event will take place, there will be participating the weigh categories that go from them 48kg., 51kg., 54kg., 57kg., 60kg., 64kg., 69kg., 75kg., 81kg., 91kg. And + 91kg. The rules of boxing championships only allow the participation of a boxer in every category in representation of a country, as usual.

At the event press conference to be held on Thursday 10 June 2010, at 19:00 in the Quito Hotel, you will be attended by world champions and Olympic medalists Ronny Iglesias, Emilio Correa and Osmay Acosta, who make up the powerful Cuban team possible candidate for first place in the tournament.
