American Elite Championships Semifinals

The semifinal phase of the Continental Championship, started on Thursday, June 17 at 15:00 with a total of 22 bouts, the winners will participated in the finals on Friday, June 18.

The competition takes place in the Julio Cesar Hidalgo coliseum, Quito, which hosts large turnout of fans who love boxing.

Two Puerto Rican Boxers won silver medals yesterday at the Elite Continental Boxing Championship that will concluded today in Quito, Ecuador, with a total of 11 bouts.

Camilo Perez got his second successive win of this championship defeating the Mexican Elias Emigdio 8-6 and advance to the finals to face Canada's Kenny Lally.

Meanwhile, in the 132 pounds, the world runner-up José Pedraza continued proving his superior skills dominating 7-0 over Ecuador Erick Bones and will has as a rival tomorrow the Cuban Yasniel Toledo in the finals.

The Dominican Roberto Navarro also won 9-3 to Ecuador’s Jonathan Valarazo and will face Oscar Valdez of Mexico for the chance at gold.

Felix Manuel Valera, another Dominican boxer 75kgs lost by RSC, and suffered a nose injury in the second round of the fists of BrazilianYamaguchi Florentino.
